Hello all!

This is just a "feeler" to all members. Is there any interest in 'Re-visiting" Washington D.C. in early April of 2011 for our Spring Rally? This would occur during the Cherry Blossom Festival. I have been there at that time and the blossoms are beautiful.

Please DO NOT vote if you have no intention of attending if it becomes a "Go". Remember, all TRVN rallies are open to ALL members regardless of which region they reside! Ya'll come!!!!!!!!!!!

Many Thanks!

OK, this one is a GO so mark your calendars. The Cherry Blossom Festival starts March 31'st and goes through April 15th. I will be in discussion with the management of Cherry Hill Park soon to set it up. Our last one there was great but some folks were backed up to I-95 so it was a bit noisy for them so I will try to get us in a different area. The projected date is April 4th through April 7th, 2011. You may of course come early and stay as long as you like. When we do open it up for registration, I would STRONGLY suggest you call ASAP for reservations. This is one of their busiest times of the year. I will make a new post next year when you can register. Till then, attend one of our other rallies we have scheduled!!!!!

Skip, Just a data bit...to hype your event! :clap USNPS listed 3-April as the average peak day for the blossoms. Of course, a few days on each side are beautiful for viewing. DW and I consider the Cherry Blossoms as one of those top sights in our great Country! Walking tours, bike rides, and picnics on the grounds are all worthwhile. Pictures can be like works of art. When home, we do not miss attending, but usually go on early Sunday morning or on a work day to avoid the worse crowds (Saturday). Enjoy! Hollis

Hey, Allegro Club, I'm new to the family and we have missed all of this year's rallies. No fault of the club, we just didn't get involved until first of the year and didn't inquire about the rallies until we were at Red Bay in July. We are interested in the 2011 DC rally - when is it going to be opened for reservations? I plan to be pro-active from now on regarding the rallies or we will be left out in the cold again. Thanks for your advice and direction.

Shelia, welcome back! Just one issue. We are not associated with the Allegro club. We are simply a group of owners that share a common bond! :) Would love to have you join us ANYTIME!

We are new Phaeton owners and new to the forum. We most definitely would like to go to the DC Cherry Blossom Festival rally in 2011. Do you have a sign-up or volunteer sheet if I would like to help? I'm not sure what is involved in putting on a rally, but I am pretty good at volunteer labor. :)

I am confused by the date and terminology. Rally date 2011. Today's date 2009. Hurry, time is limited?!

:2funny Not quite Bill. This is simply for planning. We TRY to give members at least a years notice so they can mark down the dates on their schedule. This way, they are able to attend our rallies without schedule conflicts.

Skip,
Has there been any decisions made about the DC rally in 2011? I am trying to get my schedule together for the start of 2011. The time frame we are looking at it might be a good idea to start getting our reservations pretty soon ! We are trying to coordinate the rally with a extended trip up the east coast for 2011.
Thanks,
Ray

I've been wanting to get to D.C. someday (had 1.5 hours to burn there once years ago, not much of a 'tour'), and as I'm retiring later this year, I might even be able to get the time (wife will still be working).

Sounds like a great plan to me.
